Bachelor in information security students are very satisfied with their choice

Recently, results of a nationwide survey of second year students were published. „Studiebarometeret“ was conducted by NOKUT, the controlling authority for educational activity at all Norwegian universities, special field universities, university colleges and institutions with single accredited higher education programmes.

Asked whether students were satisfied with the study programme they had enrolled in, the answer for Bachelor in information security was 4.7 on a scale from 1 („not at all“) to 5 („fully agree“). That was among the highest scores both at HiG and nationally.

  • Students in information security are on the programme they wanted most: 4.9 of 5
  • Students in information security would recommend their programme to others: 4.8 of 5
  • Expectations have been met: 4.5 of 5

Also of note: Students come to HiG because of our superb study programmes in information security (4.5 on interest in the field, 4.1 on study quality). Asked whether they came here because of Gjøvik as a town, results are 2.4 for the town, 2.9 for HiG as a whole.
